Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
