I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
